MY APPROACH

 

The ultimate goal of psychotherapy is to help you live a more fulfilling and satisfying life. I strongly believe this is possible for you!  Each person needs something different and this is why I will explore these issues with a non-judgmental stance. I will work with you to develop a therapeutic relationship based on mutual respect, honesty and open communication. I will take your concerns seriously and be supportive. My reliability is guaranteed. I will work with you, using an appropriate pace, time and commitment to bring about the changes you want in your life.

I employ an eclectic strength- based and person-centered approach to treatment, incorporating elements and therapy tools from various approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I provide culturally competent services and have an extensive understanding of social and economic nuances of people and families from different ethnic groups, which allows me to appropriately meet my clients’ needs.

I have a good sense of humor and tend to help people feel at ease. I also encourage feedback throughout our work together in order for you to have a satisfying experience in therapy. Above all, my goal is to empower you so that you can develop insights into the things that are interfering with you having the life you want for yourself and using your strengths to make changes and
move forward.
